The Office of the Registrar provides transcripts of a student's official UNC Charlotte academic record for both undergraduate and/or graduate course work upon request. A transcript is an exact and complete record of a student's academic history; therefore the University will not issue a partial transcript. If the academic record has a hold flag on it for failure to meet financial obligations or for any other reasons, transcript requests will not be processed.
Official transcripts are printed on Script Safe paper and sealed in a UNC Charlotte business envelope. Transcript requests for faxing to a recipient are considered unofficial transcripts, they will incur the transcript fee and will be marked “Unofficial Transcript.”
The fee of $5.00 per transcript can be paid in cash (in the Cashier's Office, Reese Building, Second Floor), by check or money order payable to UNC Charlotte or by a valid credit or debit card.
Failure to provide your signature and the fee will prevent processing. University policy prohibits our acceptance of transcript requests and payment information via email.
No Refund Policy
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte will not issue refunds for any Transcript Request Fee or express mailing fee after a transcript request has been ordered and processed.

We no longer offer hold for degree or grades options. Students should review their unofficial transcript through Banner Self Service for the completion of grades and awarding of degrees. Please order official transcripts the next business day after confirming that all term grades are complete to ensure that they are included on the transcript.
Currently enrolled students in the last 12 months (active): transcripts can be ordered online any time in Banner Self Service through student’s 49er Express account. Orders may be tracked in Banner Self Service on the Student Records page under the “View Status of Transcript Requests” link.
Not currently enrolled in the last 12 months (inactive): transcripts can be ordered online any time in Banner Self Service. Orders may be tracked in Banner Self Service on the Student Records page under the “View Status of Transcript Requests” link.
DO NOT USE the online transcript ordering process if: a) you are a pre-1988 Student, b) you need to include additional documents with the transcript or c) you need to express mail the transcript. Please contact the Office of the Registrar at 704-687-5498 for instructions.
A valid picture ID is required for pickup transcripts and can be issued to the student requesting the transcript or to a third party to whom the student has given access through a completed Student Consent for Access to Education Records Form. The form should be on file with our office prior to pickup. In-person transcript services are available between the hours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M., Monday - Friday (except during observed holidays) and can be picked up in the Office of the Registrar in the King Building, Room 141.
Print and complete the Transcript Request Form and mail it with a check, money order or complete the Billing Information at the bottom of the request form with valid credit card information. Faxed requests must have the complete Billing Information for processing. Please allow three to five working days for processing written requests.
Alumni with attendance prior to 1988 may request an official transcript by completing a Transcript Request Form that can be mailed or faxed to our office.
If you have additional questions concerning a transcript request, contact the transcript unit at 704-687-5498.
